Temporary Outdoor Gallery Space 3 (TOGS 3) competition prompt:
“Objective – enhances the global dialogue between art and architecture. . . innovative proposals for a temporary outdoor structure that will function simultaneously as an exhibition space and as an architectural exhibition. . . TOGS™ challenges the visual and conceptual boundaries of the outdoor gallery space, transforming the open-air art fair experience into one that showcases the synergy between art and architecture and brings both to the public realm. ”

This is a flexible temporary gallery that is adaptable to its surroundings. The sun screen is sectioned into square modules which can be rotated any direction so that the TOGS gets optimal light no matter the solar orientation.

The rain-screen siding is also flexible. The rain-screen panels are attached to tracks on the TOGS. This makes the panels removable so that they may be changed to suit different locations. For instance, scrap metal panels may be used for siding in an industrial area, while reclaimed wood siding may be used in parks. The panels can even be made to incorporate art work.
